This is an exciting new company that is breaking out of the publishing mold with a new marketing approach that will benefit both readers and authors.

When forming LionHearted, we discovered that approximately 50% of all paperback books go unsold and are destroyed, often being dumped into our oceans as wastepaper. Yet more book titles are being released each month than there is space for on book store shelves. As the number of books increases, their shelf life decreases, severely limiting their exposure time to customers, and reduced sales mean lower author royalties. Also, many books being released now are actually re-issues of earlier titles that consumers have already read.

It appeared to us that there was a need for an alternative approach to the marketing and distribution of paperbacks, and in the methods of author compensation. So, we chose to create an environment where readers can turn their romance reading into a source of income by simply telling their friends about LionHearted books, and authors can earn better than average royalties and receive them sooner!

For decades loyal readers of romance have supported the publishing industry by buying millions of novels and recommending them to their friends. How often have you recommended a great movie, an excellent restaurant, a good book, or even a brand name you liked? All the time! But has any restaurant, movie theater or author ever reimbursed you for the highly effective "marketing" you did on their behalf?

LionHearted does! We will pay you a 'Thank You' fee on books purchased by those you have so kindly referred to the company, allowing you to turn a favorite leisure activity from an expense into a profitable business, and write off your related business expenses (office, phone, computer, travel, romance conferences, etc.).

By encouraging more writing creativity with added depth, intriguing subplots, and colorful minor characters, LionHearted books have already received high marks from industry critics, like Affaire de Coeur and Romantic Times magazines. By using a more personalized distribution system, the company's goal is to create an environment where LionHearted readers and authors can help each other.
